Ban on teaching children the Bible in our homes. Since May 2024, the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan has informed all believers of a new law prohibiting us believers from teaching our children the Bible in our own homes. The Ministry of Security of Tajikistan continues to massively deport Christian refugees from Afghanistan back to Afghanistan, which threatens them with death. Despite all that, Read please about, What God is doing in these circumstances and how we are following His call.
A family weekend was held for 20 families of key house church leaders and families of the peace. - Why is family important for the house church movement? The family bases its relationships on the Scriptures about the manifestations of love, and they need to be reached on that. For example, one of the husbands, one of the families of the peace, called his wife by name for the first time in 10 years of marriage After the family weekend, 2 families were baptized.
Uzbekistan, all Central Asian countries 2-3rd generation of 130 disciples who came to the Lord through sports ministry (with a focus on Discipleship and church planting) gather for prayer, case studies, and sharing about success and failure cases in church planting and disciple-making through all CA.
Pray for the next steps and many outreach ideas disciples will follow up with. Two of the most impactful streams will be focused on coaches across CA and Esports (video gaming). The market for both of those streams is greatly huge. Just in Tajikistan, there are more than 1000 officially registered coaches who make a significant impact on thousands of them. Young people and kids, 300,000 officially registered Cyber sportsmen.
Our “Business Incubator” initiative continues. Thus, this month we had the opportunity to invest in another business project of a home church among the Gypsies, which will allow them to take care of the food of 25 people from this house church
In the past months, more than 80 Afghan refugee families received food aid and the Gospel. We are often asked: “What tools and strategies do you use to spread the Word of God?” Here is one of the many stories we hear from our students:
Sohib went to his relatives to spend time with his uncle who had recently accepted the Gospel. After his uncle, he went to 5 more of his relatives' houses praying for them and witnessing to them about Christ, and they all expressed a desire to study the Scriptures as well. But Sohib did not have enough printed books with him. So he simply decided to go to the local government library to buy a Bible. Can you imagine going to a government library in a Muslim country and asking to sell 5 Bibles? Do you know what happened? The next day the librarian found 5 Bibles and sold them to Sohib. Now 6 families of peace are studying the Scriptures among Sohib's relatives.
Prayer and giving opportunities:
-Pray for the upcoming discipleship school for 20 disciples of 2nd and 3rd generation students from our house churches and sports clubs;
- We have planned 12 Christian Sports Camps for this summer;
-Pray for the Business Plan and fundraising for the Recreation Zone for the region and the church movement in Central Asia;
-Also, one of our leaders planting churches among migrants from Central Asia needs more spacious housing because, with a family 9, they live in an apartment of 120 Square feets;
-Due to the complete "blockade" of our leaders among Afghan refugees, they need a source of income and earnings.
